These sessions are for people want to address emotional and mental health concerns, work or relationship issues, as well as the desire for personal growth. In addition to reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression, psychology sessions are an opportunity to understand the origins of one’s distress with the goal of bringing kindness into one’s relationship with oneself.

PERINATAL PSYCHOLOGY SESSIONS

I have spent much of my career working with women who are pregnant and those who are transitioning to life as a parent. These perinatal psychology sessions are for people:

  • adjusting to being new parents,

  • wanting treating antenatal and postnatal depression + anxiety disorders,

  • wanting treating anxiety about birth and post-traumatic stress disorder following a difficult birth,

  • wanting counseling following pregnancy losses and monitoring of emotional well-being in subsequent pregnancies,

  • needing help to build a secure relationship with their child and

  • wanting counseling with couples about the impact of entry to parenthood.

PSYCHOLOGY SESSIONS FOR MEDITATORS

Meditation is an effective practice for restoring the nervous system to its most un-stressed state. As meditators begin to un-stress their body, it becomes more obvious what commitments in their life are no-longer sustainable. This is both important and confronting. Meditation helps us become clear on how to lead a sustainable life and helps us trust in our innate wisdom.

In the process of un-stressing, however, meditators may experience increases in anxiety and depressive symptoms as they confront what doesn’t work for them anymore and makes the necessary changes their lives.

As a daily Vedic Meditator of 5 years, with advanced knowledge of the Vedas and a teacher of the 1 Giant Mind Being technique, I can show you how to bridge the un-stressed parts of yourself with the stressed parts of yourself. In these sessions, we work with the inner child to foster self-compassion, as well as embodied experiences of old and familiar emotions to do this work.

These sessions are designed for clients who have a regular daily practice of either Transendental, Vedic or 1 Giant Mind Being meditation. If you haven’t learnt one of these practices and would like to, you are welcome to join one of my courses. Alternatively, I can recommend you to a local Vedic Meditation or Transcendental Meditation teacher.
